15-jewel M1860 16-size gilt ¾ plate movement, key wound and set at back, Stratton's patent mainspring barrel with visible stop work, jewels in mock settings, counterpoised escapement, bimetallic balance, blued flat spring and Fogg's patent hairspring stud, silver cuvette, white enamel dial signed "American Watch Co.", roman chapters, subsidiary seconds (lacking hand), blued hour and minute hands, possibly original MB case engraved with vacant cartouche
