Saturday 25th October 2008

Admission by catalogue only - admits two.

The precursor of the Fiat 1500 coupé and cabriolet was the Fiat 1200 Trasformabile of the early and mid-1950s. For the construction of this new coupé, FIAT commissioned Pininfarina to create a new body. The result confirmed its expectations from the master designer: elegant and unique lines, destined to become a classic. To match the exciting looks, the famous Bialbero 118000 engine, built by OSCA – Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili, owned by the Maserati brothers – was made available for the Fiat 1500 S Coupé.
Producing an impressive 95bhp from the small 1.5 litre twin overhead camshaft engine with single double-barrel carburettor, truly sporting performance was available which could propel this pretty little car to a top speed of more than 180kph through the five speed gearbox. Exc
