In 1962 the brothers Luciano and Gianfranco Pederzani set up the company ‘Tecno Cart’ as a subsidiary of a company which manufactured hydraulic pumps.
The Tecno Carts soon began to win many national championships as well as European and World Championships. In 1965 the Pederzani brothers introduced a small Formula 4, the K 250 with its 250cc engine.
A year later the first TECNO Formula 3 was introduced. In its first race at Mugello it finished third. In the following years the cars were very successful winning several championships at national and international level such as the Italian, French and Swedish championships. The cars were looked upon as small, sturdy and tough and easy to control like their predecessor the Carts. Overall the first Formula 3 from 1966 was an revamped K250 with a 1 litre motor and outboard suspension. The drive
