The Bailey Lawyers’ Case From Tanner Krolle

Luxury luggage-maker Tanner Krolle has revisited its 1940s archive to produce a strictly limited edition re-run of a design classic: the bridle leather ‘Lawyers’ Case’.

Potential customers will have to hurry along to the Mayfair company’s new Private Service Suite at 43 Berkeley Square W1J 5AP, as the exquisitely finished case is limited to just 10 examples, some of which have already been sold.

Two whole ‘Grade A’ shoulder-hides are required for each case. The hide is organically tanned in the bark, leaves and nuts of the oak tree to produce the characteristic Blonde colour, and every handle requires 15 layers of handstitching. Like most of the 154-year-old company's wonderful luggage, each Lawyers' Case is hand-moulded and bowed around a steel frame.

Customers can choose either combination lock in satin brass hardware, or a key lock in palladium. The case is lined with Peau d'ange – a Tanner Krolle, lightweight and washable Alcantara lining – and priced at £2500.00.
