Uniques: Special Ones

This week, 24-27 September, sees the very first running of Uniques, a new event for rare and exceptional cars to be held in Florence.

The heart of the event is ‘The Unique Cars International Concours’, at Florence’s Four Seasons Hotel, showcasing cars that are one of a kind – either because just one was made (a concept, prototype or show car, perhaps); or because there is only one left – plus some outstanding automobiles that were owned by famous individuals.

The cars are both the offspring of the manufacturers: Aston Martin, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and so on, and those that sprang from the great design houses and coachbuilders, from Italdesign-Giugiaro and Pininfarina, to Zagato, Castagna and Touring Superleggera.

In addition to the cars, there will be luxury items: watches, jewellery, fashion accessories and clothing – many of them owned by well-known people, or connected to films, or particular moments in history.

As to the venue, Uniques will take place in the grounds of the Giardino, the Conventino and the Palazzo della Gherardesca of the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence – reserved exclusively for the event.
