Bentley Continental Flying Spur Arabia: Go East

Over the past five years, the Middle East has come to represent 10 per cent of Bentley’s global sales – up from just 5 per cent in 2005. No wonder the top-end car manufacturers are increasingly launching special editions tailored for eastern markets. The latest are two special-edition Continentals from Bentley Motors in Crewe.

Fifty Continental Flying Spur Arabia and Continental Flying Spur Speed Arabia cars will be built, offering “a range of striking features specially commissioned for Arabic customers”. Both have some subtle exterior and interior ‘Arabia’ motifs, explains Bentley, including a wing badge, tread plate and ashtray lid badge bearing the Arabia signature. There are unique wheels for each model, too: an elegant 14-spoke diamond alloy wheel for the Continental Flying Spur Arabia and, for the Flying Spur Speed Arabia, more vibrant 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels in bright silver, compatible with Bentley’s optional carbon-ceramic brakes.

All this, of course, is in addition to the wealth of luxurious details available on the Continental range throughout the world, not to mention the fabulous 6-litre W12 engine. Comments Geoff Dowding, Regional Director, Asia and Middle East, “We have created these exclusive new models for our Arabic customers in recognition of the growing importance of these influential customers.”
