Frauscher 717 GT: Return of the Gentlemen’s Racer

Engelbert Frauscher founded his first shipyard in 1927. It was a time when ‘Gentlemen’s Runabouts’ were the thing to own – boats with style, that could be used for both family recreation and friendly racing. The Frauscher 717 GT aims to recreate this spirit in the 21st Century.

“An elegant ride across the glistening sea and a powerful, but amicable, gentlemen’s race are no contradiction”, says the company of its 717 GT. As illustrated in the video below, the 717cm-long boat is beautifully balanced, the shaft propulsion and careful hull design promising manoeuvrability, while the long, elegant front provides ample storage and the shapely deck is the perfect place to relax in the sun.

The engine choice is petrol, diesel or hybrid, giving from 184-309 kW and, when it comes to the upper deck, customers can choose either classical and elegant teak, or a racier graphic design with colours customised to their own preference.
