Porsche Panamera Launched at the Shanghai Auto Show

The waiting is over. One of the most eagerly anticipated new models has finally seen the light of day: Porsche’s Panamera four-door was given its world premiere in China this week.

The new car will be available for sale from September 12th 2009. Klaus Berning, Executive Vice-President Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG, said he was proud of the company’s new offspring and anticipated conquest sales for the front-engined four-seater.

”Introducing the Panamera, we are entering a market segment completely new for our customers and we are once again consistently expanding our model portfolio.”

The Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo will go on sale in the UK and Ireland on 12th September. Prices start at £72,266 for the Panamera S, while the top-of-the-range Panamera Turbo costs £95,298.
