BMW Reveals 6 Series Enhancements

BMW has announced a raft of enhancements to its 6 Series range, including a new sports package for the 6 Series Coupé and Convertible and further developments for the M6.

The Edition Sport package for non-M derivatives comprises a more aggressive, contoured bonnet, bespoke 19-inch light alloy wheels and an anti-roll stabilisation system for improved handling. There is also a brushed aluminium interior and the option of seven colours, of which Imola Red and Carbon Black are new to the range.

Meanwhile, the BMW M6 Coupé will be offered with a competition package, featuring a 12mm lower front end and 10mm lower rear, retuned DSC and ABS settings, and a modified Variable M differential for greater cornering ability.

There are cosmetic changes, too: with the competition package, the M6 Coupé is given a new bonnet with ‘precision lines for an increased sporting look’ and M double-spoke light alloy wheels with wider rims, shod with new Pirelli P Zero Corsa System tyres. The competition package costs £2180 in addition to the £84,475 OTR price of a BMW M6 Coupé.
