New York City Airbus

For frequent travellers between Europe and the USA, one thing alone is at a premium – time itself. Even one hour can be critical in making that vital deal. After a twenty year break, the helicopter service from John F. Kennedy Airport to Downtown Manhattan is back.

The route is operated by US Helicopter and runs every half hour during working days, from 07.00 in the morning to 19.00 at night. Fares are simple, just $US159.00 plus local taxes for a one-way flight in one of the fleet of Sikorsky S76, twin-engine helicopters always manned by two FAA-certified pilots.

At the moment the service operates from JFK into the Downtown Manhattan Heliport (JRB) (6 East River Piers NY, NY 10004), right at the southern tip of Manhattan, near the New York Stock Exchange, although services to East 34th Street Heliport (TSS) (499 East 34th Street and FDR Drive) and New York La Guardia Airport are coming soon. For passengers on the American Airlines global network, and departing from Terminal 9 at JFK, check-in for ongoing flights can be made at the quiet oasis of the NY Heliport, saving even more time and stress.

The flight takes in the region of eight minutes and compared to a run in a Yellow Cab, the time saving is around 50 minutes. And the pilots know the fastest route too.

The flights can be booked online before departure. For further information please visit www.flyush.com.
