Mercedes E-Class Estate UK prices announced

With just over a month to go before its UK debut, final details for the innovative new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate have been announced. Prices for the entry-level E 200 KOMPRESSOR Classic start at just £27,355 on the road. Packed full of new technology and extra standard equipment, the E-Class Estate includes the advanced Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC™) system, now fitted with two new convenience features as standard.

Mercedes E-Class Estate UK prices announced Launched in the UK on 19 June, the new E-Class Estate costs an average of only 6.1 per cent more than the outgoing model, but represents significantly better value for money, thanks to more generous standard equipment and improved engines.

All models are fitted with a host of safety and convenience features as standard. There are six airbags, seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, and a roll-over sensor to improve occupant protection if the vehicle inverts, by activating airbags in a sequence. To help keep the car on the straight and level is standard rear self-levelling suspension, based on the popular AirMATIC DC system. As well as maintaining a constant ride height, the car will handle in a similar fashion whether empty or fully-laden.

Mercedes E-Class Estate UK prices announced Advanced Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC™) now comes with two new convenience functions as standard, SBC™ Hold and SBC™ Stop. SBC™ Hold relieves driver strain when performing tricky hill starts, when manoeuvring on steep slopes, or when stopped in traffic. This feature keeps the car stationary without the driver having to keep the brake pedal depressed.

SBC™ Stop is available with automatic transmission, which comes with cruise control and the licence-saving Speedtronic speed limiter package. SBC™ Stop helps relieve driver fatigue in traffic. Once the accelerator is released below a certain speed, the car automatically brakes itself to a complete stop without the need to press the brakes. The brakes are released once the driver accelerates.

Other standard features are similar to the Estate's Saloon stablemate. Detailed standard specification lists for the full E-Class Estate range are attached to this release.
