Description

VIN No. 590089
Engine Type: 110 D 000

This Fiat 500 D was registered in Varese in 1963 and transformed a few years later into a “cabriolet” by a coachworks specialized in vehicle transformation. Number plates and documents of the province of Savona since 1975.
Red, well-preserved bodywork, with aftermarket accessories such as steering wheel, sports exhaust, centre console with car radio and wire wheels. The soft top is missing and the keys have been lost, but a spare pawl from the time is supplied complete with key.
Complete and original mechanics, but has been stored in a dry place for a few years, therefore it needs a complete tune-up before being used. No valid MOT.
The great success of the 500 Jolly, produced by Ghia, led many enthusiasts who could not afford such an exclusive custom-built car, to request replicas or conversions from specialised coachbuilders, starting from existing closed cars. The car on offer is one of the rare surviving custom-built cars of the period, marked ‘open’ in the logbook and ready to be enjoyed.
The car must be collected from Turin.
