Description

"The 1953 C1 captivated a generation of American youngsters, came from the pen of the legendary Harley Earl, and borrowed its name, of French origin, from centuries of small, fast warships. It received multiple cosmetic updates along the way, the most significant of which came in 1958 when the nose was lengthened and dual headlights introduced. It was initially only available with a straight-six powerplant but soon progressed to V8 power units of varying horsepower and various transmission options.
This very classic 1962 Corvette C1 was initially imported into the UK in 2012 and, complete with a scallop-matching coloured hard top, something of a rarity, has been stripped and restored by its owner. It sports the non-factory colour scheme of white and turquoise and the interior has been retrimmed but still retains much of the original detail items, dials, and switchgear. This time-honoured V8, with Edelbrock intake, is perfectly matched with this most iconic of US classic designs."
