Description

"The second-generation Range Rover, designation P38, was introduced for the 1995 model year with an updated version of the Rover V8 engine. The new model offered more equipment and premium trims, positioning the vehicle above the Land Rover Discovery in the face of ever-increasing competition in the SUV marketplace, where the Range Rover held the mantle of being the luxury segment bench-mark product. This was the last of the Range Rovers to feature the refined Connolly leather interiors.
Handsomely presented in Epsom Green with Dove Grey Connolly leather upholstery, our car was understood to have been one of Land Rover's publicity vehicles retained at Gaydon. It is also known to have featured prominently in the Ruth Rendell Mysteries. For nearly 20 years afterwards, the car was in the possession of one family before coming to its current registered keeper in Weybridge, during 2020. Entered privately by the lady owner, the car presents magnificently and is reported as entirely reliable and a pleasure to drive. Indeed, the original carpets and leather upholstery are hard to fault. Beyond the fitment of side-steps, the car is unmodified and largely original all the way down to the standard specification 16 'Mondial' style alloys. Supplied with a V5 registration document, current MoT test certificate, two keys and full Range Rover document wallet (including service booklet showing 14 stamped entries), this gently used and fastidiously maintained Range Rover, with interesting history, is something any enthusiast would be proud to own."
