Trade-in car. This Mercedes-Benz W108 280S must be without doubt the definition of a real survivor. This model was supplied from new by the German Essen based Mercedes-Benz dealership in 1969. Since its importation to the Netherlands in 1999 it has only had two further owners. We see many cars come and go, so it is rare we come across such an original and well maintained example as this 280S. The majority of the 291 colour number paintwork is still original, the same applying to the car’s interior which exactly has developed the right amount of patina. Not perfect maybe, but certainly not due for refurbishment, thanks to the years of excellent maintenance.
