Description

1960 Jaguar MK2 Saloon 3.8 litre automatic in British Racing Green with Suede Green interior trim. Unique early production details, beautiful original condition.

Matching numbers. Recent full mechanical service, now ready to drive, show and enjoy. Comes with a Heritage Certificate.

This Jaguar MK2 was produced on the 22nd of March 1960 in British Racing Green with a Suede Green interior trim. Dispatched on the 31st of March 1960 through Jaguar Cars New York to its first owner when it received its Californian registration DLP930. The original California black plate is still on the car. In the eighties the car was owned by Carol N and Elmer L Tretten, Orinda, California. In August 1986, it was purchased, through the Junior Museum Pack Rack sale by its last long term owners Edward George and Suzanne Marie Mitchell, Walnut Creek, California. The car was donated to a school and sold at this auction for $3.000,- USD. During 2009 the car was imported into The Netherlands and the last owner has kept the MK2 dry and safe until our recent purchase.

This Jaguar 3.8 MK2 is a charmingly original car sporting a beautiful colour combination of British Racing Green with original Suede Green leather interior trim. The car has a lovely patina to it showing its age and authenticity combined with a very good mechanical condition. Extremely original with only one outside respray in the USA and features many early production details.

The odometer shows a total mileage of only 46.220 miles.

Many unique early production details can be found on this car, amongst others: Small interior rear view mirror from the Jaguar Mark IX, seven-pleath leather front seats, recessed- clipped sun-visors, black painted central dash panel, very rare 100 psi oil pressure gauge and the steering column mounted control stalks in a different position than later production cars (automatic gearbox stalk on the left and indicator stalk on the right).

Factory fitted optional extras found on this Jaguar are: A very rare and unique original power steering, seat belts, radio and wheel rim belishers.

Now fully serviced engine, carburettors, ignition, brakes, suspension, electrics and ready to be enjoyed.
