The History of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
Every Ferrari that sees the light in the Maranello factories stands out for its highly innovative and technologically advanced contents.
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006, a two-seater berlinetta with a 5999 cm3 front-central V12 engine, with a maximum power of 620 horsepower at 7600 rpm and a torque of 608 Nm at 5600 rpm.
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was without a shadow of a doubt, a real reference for the era in terms of sportiness, driving emotions and design.
The know-how developed on the racing fields all over the world, takes shape on the Ferrari 599 GTB in the F1-trac traction control integrated with the stability control, consequently driving is progressive and effective, thanks to the maximum traction when exiting corners.
The final result also allows non-professional drivers to take the car to the limit in complete safety even in the most extreme situations.
The Ferrari 599 GTB is equipped with the F1-Superfast gearbox which allows gear changes in just 100 ms.
The speed of the operation is possible thanks to a gear engagement time of 40 ms, on which the two combined actions of opening and closing the clutch and relative reduction and restitution of the engine torque are superimposed.
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is extremely fun to drive, but also really safe. A peculiarity made possible thanks to the adoption of magnetorheological shock absorber, which guarantee instantaneous damping control with respect to road conditions and the rider's requests, unlike classic suspensions.
The secret lies in the fluid's ability to vary its dynamic characteristics by reacting to an electronically controlled magnetic field. In this way, the system drastically reduces the movements of the car body, ensuring better handling and road holding thanks to the optimal adherence of the wheels to the ground.
The 599 Fiorano went out of production in 2012.
