Description

Introduced in 1975, the Ford Escort MK2 quickly establish itself, like the Escort MK1, as the reference on rally stages. World champion in 1979 (Bjorn Waldegard) and 1981 (Ari Vatanen), the car remain, to this day, an absolute weapon on rally stages, helping the biggest names in rally to gain their skills and reputation.

This 1981 spec Ford Escort MK2 (FIA Legal until 2030), based on genuine a Ford Escort RS2000, is a modern construction equipped with the one of the best rally setup available on the market.

It’s powerful 280hp 1999cm3 BDG engine, prepared by Connaught benefit from a Lucas injection, and deliver it’s power through a five speed ZF gearbox to an Atlas rear axle. With Rieger suspension all around, the car is as powerful as it is nimble and quick on all surfaces.

Only raced for 6 hours of Belgian stages, the car is like new and will be delivered with 22 spare wheels. This ready-to-win Ford Escort MK2 is available exclusively at Gipimotor.

The car can be seen in our HQ (Evere - Belgium) on appointment only.
