Description

To celebrate the final year of Defender production, Land Rover introduced three limited-edition versions, of which the Autobiography trim level was the flagship model. Described by Land Rover as a more performant, more luxurious and lavished with any possible optional equipment than ever before, the Autobiography was the ultimate Defender. It was of course still perfectly capable of living up to its reputation off-road, but also ready to handle the day-to-day duties of on-road use. All Autobiography Defenders had unique two-tone paintwork, a full Windsor leather upholstery (including dashboard, door panels and even the headlining !), and a power increase of 28 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. The Autobiography was only made available in the UK and European markets, and only 180 examples were produced which makes it one of the rarest and most desirable Defenders.

This example was sold new in Belgium in 2015 to a collector, who kept it in brand new condition. Today the odometer shows only 945 km from new, and as such, it presents in as-new condition throughout. It is finished in the most desirable colour combination of Santorini Black over Corris Grey, and this in combination with a stunning full leather interior in Ebony and Ivory soft Windsor leather. The car has a Belgian registration as commercial vehicle, and VAT is deductible.

The Defender 90 Autobiography is amongst the very last of its breed, and in this case, Land Rover truly saved the best in terms of refinement and luxury for last. For someone looking for an as-new Defender to use and enjoy as intended, or simply to preserve in such condition for future generations, this example is not to be missed.
