The History of the Porsche 993

The Porsche 911 993 series made its debut in September 1993.
Thanks to the innovative technical features and its refined lines, the fourth generation of the 911 is still today one of the most coveted by collectors.
From a stylistic point of view, the differences compared to the previous 964 series were evident: the bumpers, wider and with more rounded lines, were made with the use of deformable plastic. The front bumper was integrated into the bodywork, the front lights were made with a more accentuated angle of inclination than the previous models and new polyellipsoidal headlights were installed which, thanks to the particular lenses that regulated the light beam, guaranteed better performance in poor visibility conditions, causing less disturbance to vehicles moving in the opposite direction.
The taillights, on the other hand, remained faithful to tradition; also on the Porsche 911 993 series there was the reflective connecting strip bearing the word “Porsche” which joined the rear lights and the rear bonnet, as on the previous 964, integrated an automatically extracting spoiler.
The Porsche 911 993 series also saw the debut of the aluminum multi-link (or multi-link) rear suspension, designed to optimize wheel oscillation and thus make the rear end of the car more stable, allowing a more comfortable ride thanks to the absorption. vibrations, but at the same time ensuring greater reactivity in curves with a consequent reduction in oversteer. The Porsche 993 was the last 911 with an air-cooled engine.

Our Porsche 993 Cabrio

The car is in excellent condition of bodywork and mechanics and has recently undergone a thorough overhaul which mainly concerned many mechanical parts, with consequent fine-tuning of the entire engine. The brakes have been completely restored and the discs rectified.
The Tiptronic gearbox has also been overhauled and is perfectly efficient. The soft top has been newly restored and works perfectly. The original rims have been ground. And they look like new, as are the tires installed. The internal instrumentation, including the steering wheel, is the original one and is in perfect working order.
Black leather seats. Efficient and recently regenerated air conditioning.
After a few years on a roller coaster, today the prices of the “modern” 911 most sought after by the most purist Porsche collectors have started to rise again.

It is possible to view the car online, by booking a call with one of our commercial operators, via Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp and Google Meet platforms.
