The History
The Alfa Romeo Spider is a roadster produced since 1995, with the aim of becoming the heir to the Duetto that had been the icon of the Milanese company in the world of convertible sports cars.
In 2003, the AR Spider underwent an appreciable external restyling by Pininfarina and at the same time the new 2.0 JTS petrol direct injection Euro 4 engines with 165 horsepower, and the 3.2 V6 24V Euro 3, with 240 horsepower were introduced.
If the intention of the Arese managers was to create a car that worthily replaces the iconic Duetto, after more than 20 years, we can safely take note of the failure of the project, while the JTS remains a pleasant car to drive and with performance worthy of a true Alfa Romeo.
