Registered new in the UK, ‘2353 WK’ was soon shipped to New York on the order of heiress Miss S.L. Brown, as a gift for her racer boyfriend George Burgess. It was also equipped with a competition roll-hoop from new and entered into a Virginia Raceway SCCA race by Burgess, although we suspect the majority of the his miles in the car came from spirited road driving with his girlfriend in the passenger seat!

Still complete with its original roll-hoop, full matching numbers, and even its original Jaguar warranty card signed by Miss Brown, chassis 860696 is a beautifully preserved and patinated example, and perfect for road or indeed race-preparation for Goodwood’s Kinrara Trophy and Pre-63 GT.
