The sixth generation Cadillac in 1959 was known for its iconic huge spoilers with twin rocket tail lights. Several series were built on the same base, the same wheelbase and the same engine: The Eldorado Seville, Biarritz and Brougham and the luxurious Fleetwood.In the 1960s, Cadillac decided to adopt a more refined and sober style than before. The main changes were then to the lower grille, and occupying the entire width of the car. The sharp front bumpers were also removed, and the application of chrome accents was less flashy.
The 1960 Cadillac Cabriolet 62 series that we offer was delivered new in the USA in its current color combination "Ebony black" for the body, with a red leather interior and a white soft top. Our 62 series has the options of the Eldorado model which include: power steering, automatic transmission, reversing lights, two-speed wipers, wheel discs, exterior mirror, vanity mirror, electric windows, six-position electric seats, heating and even fog lights. A superb restoration was carried out in the United States before arriving in a collection in Monaco. Its current owner, who has several other Americans in his garage, purchased the vehicle in October 2019. The odometer now displays 87,142 miles. The paintwork on the body is of excellent quality and its magnificent color combination highlights its taut lines as well as its chrome in very good condition. The fully original interior is very well preserved, as is the soft top whose hydraulic mechanism is functional. It also has a black three-part cover-top which is in mint condition. The red carpets are protected by red rubber mats. The vehicle runs perfectly well and is very pleasant to drive with its very smooth automatic transmission and its 390ci (6400cc) V8 engine. The current owner of the vehicle has recently driven over 1,000 kilometers without encountering any problems. Thus, this immense convertible of almost 6 meters with the appearance of flagship is ready to hit the road. You won't count the amazed looks and the many thumbs up on your way!
