Porsche's cabriolets are cars that are often overlooked vs. their coupe siblings by many, despite having never experienced a proper open-top Porsche. Greeted with unlimited headroom, a growling exhaust note unabated and unmuted, and a more grand-touring feeling, the 991 Carrera 4S Cabriolet combines some of the best aspects of the 911, and adds in an extra few for good measure. With 400 horsepower at the disposal of your right foot, the all-wheel drive system ensures traction beyond compare, that encourages mountain road shenanigans while giving inspired confidence in the way only Porsches do. Then, after you've had your fun, the car can settle down and cruise the rest of the way, providing GT-level comfort and refinement as you complete your journey.

This 911 4S Cabriolet was produced on July 1st, 2013. Ordered in GT Silver Metallic with a Natural Leather Carrera Red interior, it was heavily optioned from the Porsche factory. A complete list of options can be seen above, retailing at $40,035 (a 33% premium over the base price of the car). The Carrera 4S Cabriolet came with an uprated 3.8-liter naturally aspirated engine, good for 400 horsepower and 325lb-ft of torque. Its first owner, Thomas Schmidt, purchased the car from Suncoast Motorsports Porsche in Sarasota, Florida on July 30th, 2013. With an original MSRP of $158,515.00 according to the original window sticker, this wasn't the average Cabriolet. Thomas and his wife kept the car for less than a year, reportedly trading it back to the same dealership after his wife was frightened at how fast the 911 Cabriolet was.

The second and most recent owner never intended to purchase this car, but placed a new order for a 911 directly from the factory. After creating his perfect car online, he was told that it would take a few months for him to receive it from Porsche. He decided to look around to see if there were any like the one he wanted, just in case, and he happened to find this car being advertised. Practically the same specification but with more options, he opted to buy this car from Suncoast Motorsports Porsche instead. He purchased the car in June of 2014 and had the car shipped to his Oregon residence.

In early 2015 he moved the Cabriolet to his California residence in Santa Cruz. During his ownership he took the car out on weekends, enjoying the coastal weather with the top down. During his 6-years as caretaker, he made sure that the car was maintained properly, which can be verified by the collection of service documents which are included with the car. Most recently he acquired a Porsche 356 cabriolet and decided that in order to make room for his new car, this one would need to find a new owner. After speaking with Bruce Canepa, a long-time friend, the Cabriolet arrived at Canepa's facility.

Each and every collector car that comes to Canepa is put through an extensive and diligent process called the "Canepa Difference." This includes a major and comprehensive mechanical inspection where all systems are checked and serviced as necessary. They also receive an award-winning concours-level detailing, a thorough cleaning of each and every surface that ensures that every car is a sight to behold. Finishing off with a foam-pad-only polish to enhance the paint finish, each and every car is a perfect example and personification of Bruce Canepa's impeccable attention to detail. This Cabriolet was already in excellent condition before arriving, and required little before arriving on Canepa's showroom floor.

Porsche's Cabriolets are the best in the business, with superior performance, timeless looks, and the ultimate in usability and comfort. With the Carrera 4S giving you an extra boost in power and what feels like unlimited grip, this 911 will excite while carrying you in comfort. With over $40,000 in factory options, only two owners, and presenting in like-new condition, this Cabriolet is ready for its next owner to drop the top and bask in the sunlight, and spotlight.
