According to Daimler-Benz archives, this particular example was manufactured in September 1961, to UK-specification in right-hand drive with options including headlamps for left-hand driving and instruments with English inscriptions.Our vendor purchased this 190 SL in 2017 and took the decision to commission a full ground-up, nut and bolt restoration incorporating a few subtle modern updates for the purpose of touring. This work was entrusted to a recognised marque specialist, Premium Classic Cars, with all work evidenced in a stage-by-stage photographic account which accompanies the car in the file along with supporting invoices. The matching-numbers engine has been stripped and rebuilt along with all other mechanical aspects.
