Description

1960 Aston Martin DB4 Series II

Delivered new in June 1960, finished in Sea Green with Black hide, this outstanding DB4 has been the recipient of great care and attention by its previous owners, all known to us from 1995 onward.

This Series II DB4, distinguishable by the high scoop bonnet and pressed alloy grille of the DB4GT and appropriately named, Cathedral tail lamps and arched rear wing profile, as originally designed by Italian carrozzeria, Touring of Milan for Aston Martin.

Recently bare metal re-painted and completely re trimmed in Connolly Vaumol Tan hides, this exquisite and well maintained matching numbers example, has been serviced by ourselves for some years and been kept, in a climate controlled environment, when not in use.

Body-off restored in the early 1990’s by highly regarded specialists, whilst in the second ownership and then, with its third long term owner since 1997, the last owner purchased chassis No:- 355/R in 2013 after searching, for a ‘factory standard specification’ 3.7 litre example, as the car remains today.

A delight to drive with its original specifications and in excellent condition, the highly detailed and extensive history file accompanying the car, includes ownership details of Concours entries, restoration photographs and multitudinous invoices from Aston Martin specialists, for services and parts, from the 1980’s to today. Previous MoT certificates and a copy of the original Build sheet are also included.

On view now at our Hertfordshire showrooms, with our complete stock of exceptional cars.
