EXTERIOR
Fully restored just over 200 miles ago, this Defender presents in impeccable condition. A stunning combination of Gunmetal Grey, contrasting glass black cab and wide body kit give this nearly 70 year old design a commanding and contemporary edge.

Side and rear panoramic frameless privacy glass give the impression that this is a van with no windows but on closer inspection the engineering and style of the rear section is incredible and completes a stealthy and urban aesthetic. A Terrifirma Lift Kit and huge Cooper STT Pro tyres heightens this styled 90 with the car capable of taking the off road route or a glamorous town centre high street depending on mood.

INTERIOR
Whilst the exterior of the car isn’t too car departed in basic look from the original Defender 90, the interior is as far from the bare essential layout it started with. Fitted with bespoke black leather seats with contrast stitching and custom wool carpets this example exudes luxury.

A high power AC system and Pioneer touchscreen entertainment system bring the interior into the 21st century, as does the carbon fibre dashboard detailing and bespoke Smiths digital display cluster. Despite the creature comforts the cabin of Defender still retains all of its practicality, with a large rear door and 2 folding seats it has ample space for 2 adults in the rear with plenty of luggage space to spare.

In terms of condition in interior is perfect; the supple leather shows no signs of wear whilst the beautiful wool carpets remain free from any marks or stains.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Originally taken from a Discovery, the 3.9L V8 transplanted into the Defender completely transforms the character of the car. The engine was subject to a complete rebuild prior to fitting, which included an up-rated water pump as well as a custom exhaust, custom alloy radiator, high pressure fuel pump and braided fuel system.

The end result is a unit that starts on the button, bursting into life with a typical V8 burble. Paired to a 4-speed automatic it works brilliantly on the road, with bundles of torque low down and a smooth linear power delivery.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted with a brand new set of 16″ Gloss black alloys and huge Cooper STT Pro tyres, the off road performance of this Defender is nearly as impressive as its striking looks.

Although the original design was perfectly capable, Viezu took it upon themselves to modernise the ride of the car and so it sits on a brand new Richards chassis with fully rebuilt axles, Poly Bushes, a new steering box (with pump and arms) and a full 2 inch Terrifirma lift kit. All of this paired with a completely new braking system utilising drilled & grooved discs, means that the defender is now more responsive and comfortable on the road.

HISTORY FILE
This Defender 90 was first registered on the 25th June 1984 and remained with its first owner until 2001. The car changed hands until 2013, when it was purchased by the current owner, who after 5 years of ownership decided it was time to create his dream Defender.

Charged with the job, it was taken to specialists Viezu Technology who were essentially given a blank cheque in order to create a car to the customer exacting demands. The process was a nut and bolt rebuild, restoring or replacing parts to new or replacing them with modern/bespoke alternatives, which in total is said to have taken around 9 months to complete and cost in excess of £76k.

Since the rebuild the car has covered just 223 miles and thus presents as new.
