Austin Healey 3000 MK1. Built in August 1959, it left the factory on the 27th August and was shipped to San Francisco in the USA. It is a 3000 MK1 2-seater of which only 2825 were ever built. Halfway through the 90’s it arrived at its last owner, the Zanini Family from Atascadero California (Black plate). When it arrived the car appeared to be in a fairly good and original state, with its white over black two-tone finish. During the subsequent restoration many challenges were overwon eventually leading to an astonishing final result. Every detail was taken care of, with all moving parts, engine and gearbox being overhauled. There is an extensive photographic rapportage showing the restoration process. Some 25 years later in 2019 we bought the car off the family. The Heritage certificate confirms the car’s matching numbers and authenticity. A lovely and very well maintained MK1!
