The 993 designation of Porsche's 911 range was officially released in 1994. The improvements over the previous version were vast, including the all alloy multi link rear suspension, a dual flow exhaust system, larger brakes with drilled discs and an improved power steering system

The Clubsport is a rare track-orientated specification of the Porsche 993 RS which came with a welded roll cage, a larger rear wing and a deeper chin spoiler. Comfort features such as air conditioning, electric windows, carpets and radio were deleted.

Approximately 277 were produced and only 2 genuine Clubsport examples were imported to South Africa. This example has had only 5 owners from new and has covered 51 500 km

A Full body respray and mechanical refurbishment was undertaken by Crossley & Webb in April 2018 during which the following work was done:

New windscreen and covering frame
New interior mirror
New distributor cap
New idle speed adjuster including grommet and hose
Remove Diktator engine management system and install original Bosch ECU
Replacement of all body rubbers, washers and screws etc.
Remove, clean and refit suspension including power steering rack
Clean and respray rear stabilizer bar and brackets plus refit
Strip both front shocks with New threaded shoulder machined by engineering company
Replace cone spacer for rear suspension
Replace all brake disks
Refurbish all brake calipers
Refurbishment of all rims, disassemble, sandblast all
New 160-wheel bolts and reassemble
New Michelin tyres
Adjust suspension to original specification
Remove engine and gearbox
Fit engine on stand
Remove intake manifold, Clean and send for vapour blasting
Remove exhaust manifolds, Install ceramic coated exhaust with new gaskets and nuts
Install exhaust catalytic converter (ceramic coated) with new bracket and coated straps
Install new heat shield with screws
Install new heater manifold with 2 side brackets
New tail pipes
New heat protection plates
Remove all black tin around engine and respray black
New oil pipes
New heater hoses
Drain and renew gearbox oil
New air control tube
New wheel housing liners
