This car, built in March 1955, was supplied new to Sweden on 18-04-1955 and registered there for the first time on 23-04-1955. The VW remained in Sweden until 2010, when it was exported to Germany. The Beetle has remained in the same hands for the last 10 years. Recently the car was restored in keeping with the original spec. As a consequence this car is in the very best condition. The paintwork is perfect and the interior trim is still partially original (only the carpets, front seats and roof lining have been re-upholstered). The original, matching numbers, engine has been completely overhauled and fitted with twin carburettors. Incredibly the chassis and underside of the car are as good as new! The handling and performance is as one might expect from a car with this high level of restoration. The picture is completed by the presence of the original car wallet with the original owner’s manual (in Swedish) and the original service booklet. This is a car for the true enthusiast/ collector.
