The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was built in 1909 and was one of the first highways in America. Since then, the first race was directly in 1909; the Prest-O-Lite, there was an annual event where cars and motorcycles covered long distances. This quickly grew into a serious endurance race; 500 miles (800 km). Since 1911 this race was organized annually. So in 2011, the 100th anniversary of the titanic race was held.

In that race, our Cool Classic (to be) raced as Pace Car! Chevrolet pulled out their newest Camaro SS Convertible especially for this special moment in history. Do you think you recognize the stickers? That's right, this was also a wink, but then to the original Camaro SS that also ran in 1969 as Pace Car. With its 'Summit White' exterior and orange-red stickers it's an impressive appearance. The fact that you drive in something very special is constantly subtly emphasized. The racing stripes that run from the bonnet into your interior, the special exhaust system that treats you to extra dark brown roar, a head-up system with rev counter projecting onto the front and of course the signature under the bonnet.
