Description

- The second-generation Aston Martin Vanquish, the former model production ceased in 2007
- The Vanquish’s entire body is made of very modern carbon fibre, a first for Aston Martin and still something of a rarity even in the supercar world
- Bang & Olufsen audio system
- Very low mileage of only 17,900 since its first registration
- Extremely well specified in the best possible color combination

Back in 2001, the first Vanquish was the debut Aston Martin launch for Ulrich Bez, the company’s CEO. It was the last all-new model to come out of Aston’s Newport Pagnell works.

Vanquish production ceased in 2007 and its DBS replacement it never recaptured the Vanquish’s glamour quotient.

Aston Martin, now based at Gaydon in Warwickshire, hoped the new Vanquish generated the fairy dust of the original; star of James Bond films and The Italian Job remake.

The coachwork is sleek and stretched, although in truth all modern Astons look quite similar.

The Vanquish borrows styling from the £1 million pond costing One-77 supercar.

The spec sheet contains the familiar aluminium-alloy chassis and new carbon-fibre coachwork that saves weight. The suspension gets the latest adaptive damping and there’s a new under-bonnet brace to stiffen the front end.

ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE

This particular car, chassis number ‘J00553’, is finished in Storm Black with an extremely beautiful Kestrel Tan interior. The color Storm Black was an optional more cost price color and we do understand why.
We thought approximately 2 weeks that the car is black metallic until the car was in the sun and we saw a very deep brown in the color.
Now we constantly see that this color is indeed not a standard color. It would certainly be our choice if we had to order a new Aston Martin.
The color is absolutely amazing.

The car is according to the sales information ordered new in France but was delivered new in Holland with a Dutch registration.
The Vanquish has always been in Holland until it has been part exchanged for another special sportscar from Porsche.

The Aston is delivered new at the 3th of March 2013 at the dealer in Holland and was delivered to the customer at the 19th. of April 2013.

The car has been very well kept and is scarcely used. Only 17.900 kilometers have been driven with the car and the Aston is in an absolute as new condition.

CONDITION EXTERIOR

Every detail including wheels, grille, bonnet etc. are in as new condition without any damage and even no stone chips.
This car is being kept as an absolute collectors item. We brought the Aston to the cleaning/polish shop where the wheels are mainly dismantled for cleaning the back part.
With this car it was not needed as they were in an as new condition.

Amongst the condition of the Vanquish, the lining of the car needs some attention. The shape of the Vanquish is extraordinary and is amazingly beautiful. The roof for example has a sort of Zagato lining which is so impressively beautiful.

When you take a seat on the drivers seat and look into the mirrors, the view is amazing as you can see the design of the rear of the car very well.
In our opinion, everything is correct on the design of a Vanquish.

CONDITION INTERIOR

Inside, the Vanquish is all soft leather, comfortable carpet and piano-black wood.

The Vanquish has a new centre-stack; a change from previous unit in service in the Vantage, Rapide and DB9. It looks super, and works just very well.

The Vanquish’s computer interface is simple and well laid out, unlike the previous version that would confound.

A now de rigeueur Bang & Olufsen audio system complete with tweeters rising up from the dashboard boasts 1,000 watts, surely enough decibel power to blow out eardrums in such a small cabin.

The condition of the interior is extremely nice. The seats are completely as new and don’t show any damage. Even the carpets are also still in a superb/as new condition.

After this car was cleaned she looks absolutely brand new.

We have seen quite some Vanquishes over the years but this certainly is one of a kind due to the the lining of the second generation of Vanquish and the extremely low amount of kilometres and the superb color combination.

This Vanquish was ordered with some factory options being:

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

While the Vanquish is not the quickest coupe on sale, it’s certainly one of the most involving.
Not the quickest does not mean that it is slow. The Vanquish is an extremely fast car but still very easy to handle.

The Vanquish has fabulously superb balance and handling.

On the steering wheel is a damper selection button which switches between three modes: road, sports and track.

Unless you’re on a track, to be honest, the road setting offers so much grip and gives such a compliant ride that it’s best to just leave it.

This model is already becoming both collectable and recognized as a serious future classic as well as a fabulous car to drive and enjoy.
