To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sothebys' Paris event, 5 February 2020.
Estimate:
€175,000 - €225,000

  • The 11th of just 30 examples built by Alpina
  • Stunning colours of Alpina Green over black-and-green plaid interior
  • Recently restored, ready to drive and enjoy
  • Supplied with Alpina Certification and extensive reports, invoices, and photographic records of restoration

Following in the footsteps of the E12-generation Alpina B7 S Turbo, the E24-generation B7 S Turbo Coupé offered even more performance, albeit on the two-door 6 Series platform. Just 30 examples were built, and the car offered here was the 11th example to leave the factory.

Produced by Alpina in June of 1982, this B7 S Turbo Coupé was originally finished in green metallic paintwork and fitted with a limited-slip differential and sunroof.

After leaving Alpina’s facilities, the car was delivered new to its native Germany, but spent the majority of its life in Japan before being exported to the United Arab Emirates in 2016. There, it received a full bare-metal paint restoration that revealed a totally rust- and accident-free body. At the same time, the underside was fully detailed using correct coated and plated finishes.

Wanting the very best Alpina B7 S, the consignor shipped the car to the BMW specialists at Munich Legends, UK, where extensive mechanical and detailed works were completed. These included a complete measurement and checking of mechanical components and subsequent overhaul or replacement, followed by extensive rolling road-testing and tuning. The car is now in immaculate turn-key condition and ready to display and drive.

To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/pa20.
