Description

GENERAL

The older gold metallic paintwork on this car still looks presentable. The chrome and exterior features show a light patina that corresponds with a car of this age. The colour combination is pleasing, although we suspect the original tint of gold might have been slightly lighter than the shade of the older respray.
EXTERIOR

The older gold metallic paintwork on this car still looks presentable. The chrome and exterior features show a light patina that corresponds with a car of this age. The colour combination is pleasing, although we suspect the original tint of gold might have been slightly lighter than the shade of the older respray.

The panel gaps of both doors, bonnet and boot lid, are quite nice. The glass and rubber seals have a patina that blends in nicely with the car’s overall condition. As far as exterior looks are concerned, this is a car that could perfectly be used on a daily basis.

INTERIOR

The brown leather interior has been reupholstered sometime ago. This retrim was done using Mercedes specification leather with the accurate perforations.

Dashboard, carpets and door panels all appear to be original, with normal signs of use. The car is equipped with power steering.

The instruments are functioning correctly, although the radio and air-conditioning require some attention for them to be operating as one would want for a daily driver quality car. The wood veneered trim appears to have been refreshed sometime in the past, and doesn’t require attention for it to be visually pleasing inside the car.

The odometer is showing 86.000 Miles, so it’s safe to assume the car has been imported from the US originally, most likely from a place with dry weather conditions, considering the condition of the body.

ENGINE

The M130 straight-six engine has a factory performance output of 160PS and is operated through an automatic transmission with floor shifter. The engine of this car spurs to life nearly instantly and runs smoothly.

The car drives, shifts and brakes nicely.

The engine compartment has a different hue from the outer paintwork, and has some areas showing minor surface rust, although nothing structural.
BODY

The undercarriage looks clean, and we didn’t witness any signs of previous repairs. The original underbody coating is still largely present, which is definitely a bonus on these cars. A sound car for the person who wants a W111 Flachkuhler Coupe and use it for its intended purpose: cruising.
PAPER TRAIL

The car comes with German registration documents
