Description

Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo. The Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo is a high performance version of the BMW 5 series E34 and built by Alpina. Production started in 1989 and was based on a 535i with many upgrades. This is production number 393. The development costs alone were 3.2 million at the time! For the construction of each B10 Bi-Turbo engine, Alpina dismantled an M30 BMW engine and placed forged Mahle pistons and installed two Garrett T25 water-cooled turbos in combination with a variable pressure regulator from Bosch. Adjustable from the driver's seat from 0.4 to 0.8 bar. Naturally, a Getrag 290 five-speed gearbox was also installed to cope with these forces. These adjustments resulted in a power upgrade from 208 hp to 360 hp. At the time of the introduction, it was the fastest production sedan in the world! Alpina made many more adjustments including the entire suspension, Alpina spec springs and stabilizer bars, Bilstein shock absorbers and larger brakes. Alpina claimed a top speed of 290 km / h and a 0-100 time of 5.6 seconds. In terms of performance, the Alpina Bi-Turbo was in the same class as the Ferrari Testarossa. At the time, the basic price was almost twice as much as that of an E34 M5. This copy is from a Dutch Alpina collector. The Alpina has driven 146,421 kilometers and is in perfect condition. The body is sleek and has perfect paintwork. All fits are also perfect. The bottom is original and completely stainless. Performed in its original color scheme "Diamantschwarz Metallic" with a "Wasserbuffel" leather interior in the color black. Only 507 units have been built, some with manual transmission. Equipped with all possible options that were available at the time, including multiple electrically adjustable seats with memory, sliding roof, cruise control, climate control and extensive on-board computer. A special car for the collector / enthusiast. To get a good impression of the car we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
