Considered by many to be the most appealing of the T-series Triumphs, the TR6 was first brought to market in 1968. While the TR6 was heavily influenced by its predecessor, the new model was extensively restyled by Karmann. Triumph upgraded the suspension and added wider 15” wheels that resulted in a leaner looTriumphk with a lower stance and improved handling. Power was derived from a 2.5 litre straight-6 with twin carburetors that provided over 100hp. A walnut wood dash held the instruments and front disc brakes were a standard feature. A joy to drive both then and now, the TR6 very often ranks high on British sports car lists. Their iconic style and sporty characteristics appeal to some of the most discerning drivers and collectors today!

The 1976 Triumph TR6 Roadster featured here is finished in the stunning color combination of Delft Blue over a black and beige interior with an original black folding convertible top. According to the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate this particular example was completed in January 1976 and was subsequently sold new by Roberts Imports Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After nearly a decade of meticulous care from the original owner, the Triumph was relocated to California and has been lovingly maintained ever since. Today the Triumph presents wonderfully with the numbers matching 2.5 litre inline-6 cylinder engine still in place, while a mere 72,541 miles are present on the odometer. An incredible amount of service records, dating as far back as 1977, document the mileage while the original purchase form and original window sticker still accompany the Triumph today.
