The Porsche 911 GT2 RS name laid dormant in Stuttgart for almost 10 years, last used in 2009 with the 997. Then in 2017, the 991 GT2 RS was announced and the GT2 RS moniker was reborn. With a staggering 700 horsepower produced from its 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged engine, this dual-clutch, rear-wheel drive "widow maker" was an instant sensation. Adding on top of its already resounding positive press, it set a production car lap record at the Nürburgring with a 6:47 minute lap time, cementing this car as the "baddest" street-legal cars in the world, bar none.

This black-over-black GT2 RS was ordered by Bruce Canepa, selecting options that would perfectly accent the menacing nature that lurked underneath the sheet metal. Intent on giving this turbocharged monster his own spin on design, Bruce spent a significant amount of time selecting the right combination of options both inside and out. One of the biggest options was the $18,000 Weissach package, adding a host of carbon fiber components and other items that reduces the weight. In addition, custom red instrument gauges were chosen, Platinum silver stitching throughout the cabin, Alcantara on a plethora of surfaces, Sport Chrono, even down to the smallest detail like the window triangle in carbon fiber. When completed, Bruce's MSRP was an astounding $331,490, reflecting over $37,000 in options. After receiving his GT2 RS and was able to focus on the details, he began to formulate some different design concepts to enhance its overall presence. Following his philosophy that less is more, Bruce looked for an alternative to the high downforce racetrack-oriented rear wing. Installing custom-machined bolt-on winglets to the existing ducktail, finishing them in the same midnight black paint finish as the rest of the vehicle, yielding an understated appearance. These modifications are easily reversible, taking a matter of 15 minutes and 6 bolts to reattach the original carbon fiber wing.

With only 116 miles on the odometer, this GT2 RS represents the pinnacle of Porsche 911 performance that will certainly won't be matched for years to come. It's motorsport-derived nature has ensured that the driver can live on the ragged edge of performance when they want to, but be comfortable enough to use on regular roads. The duality of a track monster and a daily driver is not often met in a balance such as this, but Porsche is exceedingly clever at making the right decisions to produce masterpieces such as this. The power is relentless, the handling sublime and as sharp as a razor's edge, and the styling brilliantly executed. Paired with the special collection of options specially chosen by Bruce Canepa to create a stylish street monster, this Porsche 911 is the GT2 RS to have.
