Description

This stunning example is one of only a tiny number of ‘International Le Mans’ cars built. Created during the crossover period between two models, this car has features of both the International and later Le Mans models and is built on a Le Mans chassis. The AMOC register lists the car as a 2 Seat Le Mans. The bodywork is absolutely correct as can be seen from the period photo of this car, the outside gear change and handbrake with the false driver’s door are fabulously bespoke original features mentioned in the build sheet and apparent on the period photographs. With true Italian style, the bodywork is an E. Bertelli original factory creation based on the beautiful works Team Car LM7.

A regular competitor on the modern 1000 Miglia, this car was accepted for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 event completing the event in both 2016 and 2017 with a creditable 79th place in 2016. Due to the early build date for this car it is likely to be the first Aston-Martin to start the 1000 Miglia if entered again. Ecurie Bertelli would be delighted to help a new custodian apply for the 1000 Miglia and are very experienced in supporting cars on this and many other events.

This car has been extremely well maintained and is a regular visitor to Ecurie Bertelli. We have built a new engine for the car giving good performance and reliability, re-built the rear axle and suspension. The rest of the car is in excellent condition.

The history of this car is very well known and documented. In 1935 this car was exported to Portugal, in the comprehensive history file there is the original Portuguese paperwork for this car as well as many other historical documents including a copy of the original build sheet detailing that this car has a Le Mans chassis and invoices covering the recent history.

The car is at our premises and available to test drive.
