Description

We have the pleasure to offer this 1965 Corvette C2 (C2 for 2nd generation) aka Corvette Stingray for sale. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C2 was built between 1962 and 1967 and, in 1965, this gorgeous, blue-chip American classic received disc brakes all-round and the awesome 425bhp 396 cubic inch (7 litre) Turbojet 'big block engine'This car, which the current UK owner has had the pleasure to enjoy for more than 10 years, has been meticulously prepared to full FIA specification. It has a fresh, new Tim Adams big block engine delivering 560 bhp, a G-Force T10 gearbox and a Gripper differential. In the winter of 2017, the car has undergone some further improvements such as the installation of  a new, 170 liter fuel cell, new exhaust, chassis cleaning and painting, new side windows with vents, etc.. Everything on the car is current and - even better - it comes with a new, 2017 FIA HTP valid until December 31st 2026.Spares are 3 sets of wheels and miscellaneous running spares. There are also many other spare parts available which are optional. This Black/Black Corvette Stingray is located in UK and is a well know car that has been run successfully on the European historic racing scene among which the Goodwood Revival TT where it finished a very respectable 9th overall. It also participated in the 2019 Revival but DNF-ed due to a broken waterpump seal. The car was driven by Matt Jackson - a Touring car Professional - who commented that he has driven various Corvettes but none that handled so nicely as this one. This exciting Big Block Vette is excellent value for money! It is ready to be raced in all historic race series including Masters Gentleman Drivers, Sixties Endurance, Goodwood Members meeting and Revival and many other Pre-66 GT grids where it will happily give chase to the Cobras ! ...
