Description
"The XJ-S is a different kind of cool. Launched as a replacement for the E-Type, it proved a useful stepping stone after the V12 E-Type, even using the same essential engine. This provided effortless touring combined with advanced performance now synonymous with Jaguar. The recipe worked, and worked well with nearly a 21 year production life. The model evolved over the years and one such variation was an increase in cylinder capacity to four litres from the six cylinders, 3.6 litre version. A more refined engine, these models are now sought highly prized.
This example is indeed a four litre coupé with automatic gearbox and finished in Flamenco red with oatmeal leather trim. Whilst the lacquer to the rear has suffered and requires attention, the usual Jaguar refinements that are associated with such a marque can be found on this car including anti-lock brakes, electric seats and power steering. With good oil-pressure, a stainless steel exhaust system, a fresh MoT test certificate and a new service, this perennially popular classic is offered without reserve."
