Description

"The Mini was made by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout, allowing 80% of the area of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. The Mini Mk. I had three major UK updates; the Mk. II, the Clubman and the Mk. III. Within these were a series of variations including an estate car, a pick-up and a van. The Mini Cooper and Cooper ‘S’ were sportier versions that were successful as rally cars winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967.
This delightful Mini was originally registered on 26th August 1978 having been supplied by Wadham Stringer in St. Austell. The vendor is a knowledgeable Mini enthusiast and spent months looking for a car of this quality. A documented speedometer change occurred when she had covered a mere 3,445 miles making the total mileage this 1275GT has covered 41,103 miles; this is confirmed by a history folder containing MoT test certificates dating back to 1984, the original service books are also present in the file. Invoices in the file confirm an oil service was carried out in June 2019 and in July work was carried out on the rear brakes. Finished in yellow with grey interior, this Mini Clubman is supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 20th May 2020 together with a spare set of keys. These highly sought after Mini’s are rare to find particularly when presented in largely original condition as this one appears to be."
