The 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230SL two-seater represented a huge improvement over the outgoing 190SL roadster. Its 150 hp, six-cylinder engine replaced the 190’s four-cylinder, and it was gradually increased in size to the most desirable 180 hp, 2.8-liter engine in 1968. The bulbous bodywork of the 190SL was replaced by Paul Bracq’s crisp, angular design spanning all the way to the early 1970’s, with its unusual concave hardtop roof that led to the sobriquet “Pagoda Top”.

Tomini Classics is proud to present the ultimate Mercedes 280SL restomod, equipped with a 4.3-litre, 340hp AMG powerplant and modern amenities like ABS, air conditioning and many other refinements in braking, suspension and steering that make this car the ultimate everyday classic. Much like Singer did to the Porsche 911, Mechatronik combines timeless looks and modern dynamics, reimagining and re-engineering a classic from the ground up.
