Description

Driven for 15 years and hidden for 30 years, before being discovered behind a brick wall! The amazing story of this exceptional DB4 continues, having been totally restored by the manufacturer, since discovery in 2004.

Offered by Bonham’s auction house as a barn find, 641/R was restored over 4 years with a number of unique enhancing features. The complete restoration by Aston Martin at Newport Pagnell, included an advanced specification, improving this DB4’s performance and touring capability.

The specification of 641/R as offered, enhances all aspects of this interesting car. It’s original numbered engine having been rebuilt to an enlarged 4.2 litre capacity, the chassis fitted with lowered springs, lowered roll centre geometry, improved anti-roll bar and uprated brakes. The 4 speed David Brown transmission fitted with Overdrive. Integrated Air conditioning and power assisted steering, electric windows and further conveniences were also integrated into the car, during the manufacturers reconstruction. Resulting in a superbly equipped and dynamic driving car.

Enjoyed since restoration by its only owner and covering 9,000 miles since restoration, this exceptional DB4 has been kept in a climate controlled environment and maintained by recognised specialists, when not being enjoyed over weekends and occasional tours.

Supplied with original build records, a superbly recorded restoration file, documenting all upgrades fitted and a copy of the cars discovery story published by Aston Martin, after 30 years of being hidden within a Norfolk Farmhouse.
