Description

The Corvette C1

The first gen Corvette was introduced back in 1953 after the huge succes of its prototype. It received several cosmetic changes until 1962 but always kept the same chassis. The twin headlights were a big change for 1958, together with the impressive radiator grill. On the inside you'll find a modified interior with new gauges and a manual T shaped gear lever.

EXTERIOR & INTERIOR

The car was delivered new in the best Corvette color, Roman Red with a white insert. The tyres have a fine white lining. Paint and interior are in very good condition with just minor traces of use. There's no evidence of damage of any sort, all panels fit perfectly. The plastic body is prone to cracking but there are no cracks to be found.

ENGINE & MECHANICS

The engine turns over immediately, pulls great and has the beautiful American V8 rumble. The car feels solid and when inspecting the chassis it looks well maintained, clean and unmolested. The gearbox and clutch are easy to operate and changes are very smooth.

HISTORY

The current owner bought his lovely Corvette back in 2009 and joined his collection of American classics, about 30 of them. When driving this beauty you really feel on the Route 66, with the powerful V8 available at a blip of the throttle.

The red exterior and interior is really how a Corvette should look, your little red Corvette! The paint is straight and sound without traces of rust or damage. The car was always maintained by the own himself in his fully equipped garage.

It's the perfect car for sunny sunday drives in a real American hero and all time classic, the first Corvette!
