Description

A real cracker in superlative condition, with a really low mileage and many special features which make this Continental R very special indeed

Originally supplied by our chum Ron Stratton from his dealership in Wimslow in Cheshire, in September and finished in the lovely peacock blue with cotswold hide interior, piped in dark blue, top roll in dark blue, split cotswold, dark blue centre console and cotswold knee roll

Carpets were specified in dark blue too, bound in cotswold beneath the deep pile lambswool over rugs

Luxurious burr walnut veneers adorn the fascia and the door cappings are fully veneered rather than the normal strain grain above burr walnut facings

Instruments and air conditioning vents have chrome rims whilst the gear lever in walnut and the steering wheel is split in colour to match the rest of the interior

Outside the front grill is chromed rather than colour coded, there is a chrome badge (very nice too) and the grill to the radiator is fitted with the Bentley mesh

Uprated wheels from the Continental T of 18" diameter help to accomodate the 340mm discs which sport red calipers to match the B logo in the wheel centre caps and the rear 1/4 badges which adorn the rear cheetah panel too

A full history folder accompanies the Bentley validating the extremely low mileage, together with the original service book, many invoices for more recent works, MoT's, owners instruction manual and large tools

There is also a helpful schedule of mileage through the years

Against the short wheel base Continental T, these latter versions of the Continental R are seriously under rated and we would suggest are one for the future

All in all one of the smartest looking versions of this super classic car and well worth consideration
