Description
Chassis AM115.532.
Engine AM115.532.
Matching numbers.
This handsome example was supplied new via Maserati’s Modena workshop in early 1967 and was originally finished in white with black leather to the interior, equipped with 5 speeds ZF manual transmission.
Although AM115.532’s early whereabouts remain unknown it resurfaces in the early 2000s at which time it was restored by renowned Ferrari / Maserati marque experts Bob Smith Coachworks of Gainesville, Texas. Considering the car’s condition today, it is only fair to say that it has been thoroughly maintained and preserved over the past 15 years. Today finished in gloss black with grey leather to the interior, and despite some slight imperfections in some areas of the bodywork, it is visually stunning.
The doors, bonnet and lid are very well fitted to the body of the car. There are some small marks of chips along the rocker panels and front valence due to road use in recent years. The engine bay is very well sorted and finished according to period factory standards. It runs perfectly with excellent torque. The transmission is smooth and reliable as it should be. The suspensions have been sorted nicely and the car responds extremely well. Although showing signs of general use, there are no signs previous damages from the undercarriage whatsoever. The car has been fitted with brand new Pirelli CN72/205/VR tires.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a very fine and early example of the legendary Maserati Ghibli 4.7 in a striking colour combination and structurally very solid.
