The largest collection of classic cars in Australia is heading to auction

The Gosford Museum in Australia plays host to the largest collection of collector cars in the entire Southern Hemisphere. Now, said collection, which comprises over 200 cars, motorcycles, and items of memorabilia, will be sold by Lloyds Auctions on 6–7 April. These are just a few of our highlights…

For a collection located in Australia, it’s remarkable to find such a broad variety of European, Japanese and American collector cars at the Gosford Classic Car Museum, which also doubled as a dealership, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Owing to ongoing disputes with Australia’s taxman, its owner and curator has now decided to part ways with the collection, which is very well known Down Under, entrusting Lloyds Auctions with the task of finding new homes for the 150-odd cars and motorcycles, most of which are reportedly in immaculate condition and offered without reserve. We’ve no doubt the sale, the bidding for which has already commenced online ahead of a live auction on 6–7 April, will garner interest from collectors and enthusiasts across the world. The selection is nothing short of delectable, spanning seven decades and encompassing significant Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches.
