Presenting a stunning matching numbered 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C2 427 Tri-Carb roadster finished in an original, pristine colour combination of Marlboro Maroon, set over a Black Vinyl trim is an extremely rare Stingray C2. As one of the last to leave the St. Louis factory, USA in June 1967, these are an incredibly rare sight and a showpiece among the classic car community.

Sold new in August of 1967 by Star Chevrolet in East Orange, New Jersey, this award-winning example was professionally restored in the 1990's to a concours condition by a marque specialist and remained in the US before arriving in Australia in December of 2006.

This stunning Corvette has retained its left-hand-drive configuration and had the transmission, mechanicals and running gear re-commissioned before a full exterior restoration in 2008. In 2015, this C2 underwent a high-quality interior restoration, resulting it being an unrivalled example. All interior components have been refurbished and remain genuine parts to include all dials and badges.

The body presents immaculately with a paint carrying a brilliant depth, contrasting blissfully over polished chrome exterior mouldings. The Stingray C2 featured a short wheel-base design, able to keep the car nimble through corners.

Featuring the desirable “Big Block' 427 7.0L Turbo Jet engine and mated to the TriPower Triple Double-Barrel downdraft Carburettors, the Corvette C2 produced an incredible 435HP. The driving experience is phenomenal and stands to be an insight to the admirable engineering behind this masterpiece.

Accompanying this vehicle is an extensively documented history of receipted work, original purchase receipts, original tank sticker, original PROTECT O plate in original owner's manual, photographs, importation documents, factory build sheet.

A highly desirable American Sports Classic with rare specification, fantastic restoration quality and unbelievable provenance is a historic example of a trophy vehicle. In any comparable condition, this 67' corvette is extremely rare and a timeless US classic. Recent sales in America through 2018/2019 have shown strong sales with particularly high interest in 427 engine cars this is the one to collect.
