This Bentley Derby Gurney Nutting Sedanca Coupe was originally sold new in London, UK. Although official build numbers do not exist, it is believed that less than 20 Bentley Derby's received coach work from ultra-exclusive coach builders Gurney-Nutting. The quality and detail of these hand-built bodies commanded a premium of nearly double the price of a Park Ward bodied Bentley.

Owned previously by a prominent Bentley collector in Melbourne, Australia. During his ownership, the vehicle received a full ground up, no expense spared restoration to the original specifications. This included a full rebuild of its original engine, bare metal respray of its original body and new period correct leather interior. Today it presents in concours condition and would be home in any classic vehicle collection anywhere in the world.

First released in 1933, the Bentley Derby was the marques first model built under the new management of Rolls-Royce at the company's Derby manufacturing plant.

Rolls-Royce marketed the Derby to their existing clientele as having not the only the ability to provide a supremely luxurious and comfortable limousine, but also a dynamic driving experience. This was highlighted in 1936 when the 3.5L engine was expanded to 4.25L with sportier camshafts and improved suspension over its Rolls-Royce brethren.
A total of 1,234 chassis were produced with the majority receiving bodies from the coach building company Park Ward.
