This factory right-hand-drive is Australian delivered and was sold new to the Bob Jane Corporation in 1981, it was displayed at the Sydney Motor Show in that same year.

Presenting in Canterbury Blue over a Magnolia leather interior, this example is in outstanding condition for its age. In a highly original state, this car has travelled only 71,511km since new and has been meticulously maintained by its previous owners.

The paintwork is faultless, and the ultra-luxurious interior is firm. This car is heavily optioned with electric roof and windows, climate control, premium Alpine stereo from factory, cruise control and Lagonda alloys. It is one of the best examples in the country today and is a truly an irreplaceable vehicle.

By 1978, very few convertible cars were being produced world-wide and a large gap in the market emerged. The prices of second-hand drop-head cars were skyrocketing and demand for such cars was persistent, so Aston Martin set out to produce a new car to fill the needs of such buyers.

Boasting a beautifully refined and contemporary design, the Aston Martin V8 Volante was introduced on the 21st of June, 1978, and received a very warm welcome internationally.

All examples were hand built, each taking over 1,200 man hours to complete. Only 4,021 V8's were produced world-wide, with only a fraction of these being the Volante variant, rendering them a highly desirable collectable.
